All,
Been working on reloads for my 300 wsm. I started out using Norma brass but found I was having sticky extractions after 2-3 firings with mild loads.
switched to Hornady Brass recently and having better results as far as that goes.
Testing loads with the pva 198 Seneca and 208 elds using rl26 and h4831.
rl26 has single digit es/sd 10fps and 4.0 fps respectively but groups are 1moa at 100yards.
h4831 right off the bat hovers around 1/2moa with little load development but es/sd is a little higher around 20fps/7.4fps respectively.
I’ve been running with .0015-.002” neck tension but have seen a few posts regarding the 300 wsm performing well with more neck tension and considering increasing the neck tension to see if I can either reduce group size with the rl26 or improve the numbers with h4831 or h4831sc (still to be tested).
looking for input from some of the folks with a lot of 300 wsm rounds under the belt.
thanks in advance.
