It’ll find a home in a tractor, combine, semi truck, gator, jeep.. where the other one isn’t…

This was originally a 221FB… it does feed find from the mag.. had a few hiccups from the start, since action was new..little polishing the claw, look out !!! It’ll run now..IMG_7554.jpeg5@100yd -target… IMG_7555.jpeg5@200yd- target

Yeah I believe it’s gonna shoot.., feed, extract from the 221FB magazines…

Have you ever thought about shooting the 40 grain VMAX

Please describe your forming process for the 20-221ai
I run 222 brass into my 221FB form/trim die-
Deburr
Chopsaw the neck
Run them into my Blain Eddy plate down to 20 cal
Giaurd trim
-depending on brass- nk turn might be necessary-
Anneal brass
Size in FL die set .005” long
Load & fireform brass

Anneal, size, trim .003” of chamber 1.4320”-.003”=1.429”

I found the 32gr Nos. Likes .093” jam in mine-
39gr BK likes a .005” jump..

Not trying to be smart, actually curious, is there a benefit to this round over the 20 practical? I get 4000 fps with 32 Nolsers with my practical. Don’t get me wrong I have calibers just because I want them but wondering if there is something about this that’s different.

Here is 222Rem data with 40gr bullets from the same 20in bbl. Factory brass, just load and shoot.

The big difference is annealing. Trying to anneal the necks of 221 length cases without softening the case head is very tricky. Less difficult with the 222.
