Artin -My 222 shoots pretty good but aView attachment 1625604lways want it to do better .
My 223x35 shoulder is the middle case , std 222 on the left , and std 223 on the right . I wanted a little longer neck a 35 deg shoulder and that give me a little more case volume . The new barrel is a std 222 didn't want to buy another reamer and don't have the old reamer .Artin -
Howdy !
Great shooting’ ! I especially enjoyed seeing the “ 12 shot “ group.
Reminds strongly of a Fred Sinclair rifle from the -70’s.
My best friend used to campaign a .222-35*, built on a 40X.
Keep up the good work !

Very very cool. Love itRifle was built in 1978 , a XP100 action , Lepuold 36 has been on sence 1978 , fiber glass stock glue in , and just put the second new Hart barrel on it 1:14 , 24" long . The old barrel was a 223X35 I dought if anyone ever heard of it was a BR gun .
Solid load that you have there. Thanks for sharing !!My 222 shoots pretty good but aView attachment 1625604lways want it to do better .
Nice shooting, the mighty 222 is just too much fun. We get spoiled with how easy it is to get them to shoot, nothing wrong with striving for more either. My 222 shoots pretty good but aView attachment 1625604lways want it to do better .
I would go with Hart or Brux I have both and like both .I have a 40XBR action that had been blueprinted by a gentleman from the hills of NC, Mr. Joines and a beautiful figured piece of walnut done up in a 40X stock. I am going to have it barreled in a 222. It will be my nostalgia rifle. Just need to get me a barrel, not sure which one, Hart, Krieger, Bartlein, Brux or any other recommended barrels in a 14 twist.
My barrel is a light varmint . If I had it to do over I would go 1.250 stright no tapper . I'll never carry this gun around out in the field anyway . And if I was ever to varmint hunt with it , I'd shoot of my truck . I have other guns lighter to carry around .Thank you. I will do a 24" LV barrel I think, maybe a HV.
I really like that case!. Is that a 222 blown forward or a 223 pushed back?My 223x35 shoulder is the middle case , std 222 on the left , and std 223 on the right . Kreigers have never failed me, phenomenal accuracy and nice straight barrelsI have a 40XBR action that had been blueprinted by a gentleman from the hills of NC, Mr. Joines and a beautiful figured piece of walnut done up in a 40X stock. It is a 223 pushed back . But that OAL is between the 222 and the 223 .I really like that case!. Is that a 222 blown forward or a 223 pushed back?
Custom dies I assume.
