alex would just the 6 br get you to 1800 -2000 rds? for 600 yd bench

One or two grains of powder wont make much difference in barrel life.

Is that paper scoring accuracy or PRS accuracy? My F-Class mid range 6BRA barrels start to fall off at about 1400-1600 rounds. I'm running them about 2920-2930 fps

At Manatee in south Florida we have a monthly gas gun competition. Most use custom AR 15's with an occasional AR10 showing up. The 6 ARC is popular.

Now I use Lever Revolution powder with 105 gr bullets in Starline brass to get 2630 fps out of my custom AR15, built just for this kind of shoot. In a 600 yard BR shoot I have a couple of BRA bolt rifles doing 300-350 fps more than the 6 ARC gas gun.

To me it would be silly to waste a good barrel in a bolt with 6ARC when the BR variants are oh so much better.

6arc is more or less a 6 PPC

That is exactly what I thought when I found a case under a bench at the range while searching for one of my own brass. I gave it to a friend that shoots 6PPC and until he looked at the head stamp he thought it was a piece of 6PPC brass.
He is currently looking into trying to make 6PPC brass from 6.5 Grendel and the 6ARC just to see if that is “doable”.
