I picked up a cheap Ruger American 6ARC and to my surprise, it shot a 1" 5 shot group at 500 yards with 103 eldx and 27.0 grains of Varget . I think it is worth buying a good trigger and stock

It shoots as well as I can control it--It needs a trigger and stock--The rifle has about a 5 pound trigger and a real narrow stock . It is hard to be consistent with it

Most of the time I shoot 3 to 4 inches at 500 with my grendel and 6br. It depends on how well I am shooting that day. I am sure the 1" group was not representative of how well this rifle will shoot over all. I have shot it several times since and I am averaging 2.5 to 4 inches--I have ordered a new stock and trigger spring kit

I bought your rifle and it shoots 1", 5 shot groups and 50 yards

I am surprised you were able to shoot a 1" group at 50 yards you must have been practicing since the last time we went shooting. Keep up the good work. Soon you will be under 8 inches at 100
