Remington Accutip-V .20

About 5 years ago I purchased a .20 Tactical from a member on here. Dave Berg what a wonderful man. I also purchased A large amount of Remington Accu-Tip 40 grain Bullets. I worked up a load for that Bullet and man was it the shizzle. I am running low and I can not find any of those Bullets for sale. I reached out to Remington and the lady I spoke with said they must not sale them any longer. Really was ignorant on the product and other products. Remington still has the bullet in their Premier ammunition for the .204 Ruger. I was wondering if anyone would had a contact for someone at Remington to see if I could find that Bullet or a suggestion. FYI 40 gr Hornady V-max do not have the same measurements.

Hornady made those for Remington but probably a dedicated machine just for the Remington pills. That's why the difference in dimensions. I may have some. PM me.

They have a website, they are not listed on the website. Most Remington bullets I have seen were overruns not in Remington packages. Calling the poor lady names sure doesn't help.

I did not call the lady a name. She was a very nice lady and tried to help but had lack of knowledge on what she was speaking of.

This is what I said. “Really was ignorant on the product and other products.”

Definition of ignorant= Lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about a particular thing.

All too common these days

about 2010 I bought 3 boxes of Rem Factory 40 gr Accu Tip bullets ,as mentioned they were made by Hornady, I pulled the Rem bullets & compared them to the 40 V-Max the only difference I could tell was the Golden colored plastic tip . suggest trying a few 40 V-Max,they will probably shoot better.

I just went back and measured again. They measure different now

You say they measure different but, have you tried them?
Yes I can not get the V-max to shoot near as good as the batch of 500 of the Remington Bullets I have. I have tried numerous different loads with multiple powders. That Remington Bullet in my gun just keeps stacking great groups over and over. Very small single hole groups.

I suspect its the lot variation. Im sure its a hornady vmax with a different color tip. I had a 22 mag that shot the remington 40 gr hollow point lights out. Im positive it is just rebranded CCI. Same thing in my 17 hmr. The CCI and Hornady alternate shooting better based on the lot. They are the same thing rebranded.

Try 39 sierra maybe.

I’m pretty sure Hornady does make them. Would it be possible they changed the specs a little

The tooling used to make bullets wears over time and eventually gets replaced. Maybe a different stage in the life of the tooling and maybe it also has an acceptable tolerance when its new. All speculation on my part though. Call Hornady and and ask maybe.
