That Chronos is the only Athlon made by LOW in Japan that I know of and I have it and the Arkens--while the new Arkens are very very good scopes they are not as sweet as the Chronos 2 IMO
Jeff at Cameraland will match I bet he has always been really good to deal with

I've been studying up on them quite a bit here lately. Everyone I see says they're head and shoulders above the Arken. I personally haven't looked though either one.

The Cronus and the Arken are Japanese glass. And, while here, so is the Element Nexus G1, still on sale at Utah Airguns for $879.99. I have never seen the Cronus and the Nexus on such sales from retailers.

There are many different grades of glass manufactured by LOW...good, better, best, and it's generally spec'd by the scope manufacturer and reflected in the price. Arken doesn't claim it's LOW glass in their products, if it was they'd probably point it out.
