Don't ever recall that. They know how to pronounce their name. I have been calling them for years and just did now. They answer with a greeting and "Leupold (LOOPOLD) & Stevens", just like they always have. There are NO "LEOPOLD" Scopes.They used to answer the phone Lee-a-pold years ago when I would call . They don't anymore
My poor brother says WalMarks instead of Walmart....I wanna punch him in the face....God love him.
In days gone by, it was also a slang for tires. Casings for the tube inside.Me too!

The brake breaks my ears."Break" and "Brake".
These get flipped all the time. Makes me a little crazy. Can't say how many times I've read about a 'break' on the barrel.
I learnt it at the libaryI guess it is if you have to save all the a's to use when you say Hornaday
As for February (mentioned by another commenter) the first r is silent. I done learnt that in second grade! I'ze educated.

Owners referring to their gun/s as toys; as in I got a new range toy.
Referring to guns, rifles and firearms as toys provides fuel to the anti folks.
Toys are for play, guns are not.
