Al is right, if that McMillan HBR was built for a R700 footprint, you wouldn’t be able to use a Kodiak with it anyway.

I don’t own the stock. This is kinda Ed’s idea, and since neither of us shoot HBR, I figure someone else could enjoy it.So your gonna build a rifle w/ my stock, then give it away again…
Why not use a REM action, and donate it at a Nationals for a prize..
Poor ol’ little stock… it’ll find a home one day !!!!
Too bad I don’t own anything on that footprint….
It does look goodThe knob and shroud look good on it! Plus, it has an aluminum buttplate like God intended HBR guns to have.![]()
Sure.Couldn't you two just sell the stock...?

Jackie you get the plumbing done yet?I don’t own the stock. This is kinda Ed’s idea, and since neither of us shoot HBR, I figure someone else could enjoy it.
I am just going to use the Remington Action I already have. It has a PTG Bolt with the Speedy shroud, side bolt release, and I trued it.
The way it sits now, complete without scope and barrel, I can use a 4 pound 14 ounce barrel and have 20 ounces left for a scope.View attachment 1606766
But the erector assembly in those are highly suspect and have a habit of wandering and not holding zero’s.Swarovski Z3 in 4-12x50 is good on weight
Not yet. We have a legal HBR profile 1-17 twist Bartlien barrel ordered through Chris Mackey, but it will not be here until February.Jackie you get the plumbing done yet?
