First loads so I took it easy. Converted starline 6.5 grendel brass in two steps.
Xbr8208 with 55gr bergers.

20 Grendel is ready ! 55gr bergers are awesome. This is just fireforming brass and not running it stupid hot. 100 yards with 25mph gust.

Do you have to use a 8 twist for 55gr bergers in a 20BR ? Wondering if i will gain anything on the next 20 cal I build. This thing is fun

Nope! you want a 9. I bet if you used the search function on here you will find info on it
The late Stan Taylor tested 8, 8.5 and 9 in the 20BR and said the 9 was the most accurate.

Probably will, how much theres only one way to find out and thats to shoot a 20 Grendel barrel out.
I will be shocked if your able to run a Grendel case to the same fps accurately as a BR case especially a BRA case.
Pick your goal with a 55 and build the cartridge to that just like any other cartridge, there is no free lunch if FPS is your goal.
Its really no different than asking if a VT barrel will last longer than a Grendel barrel.
