Aero solus and bighorn origin barrels

It appears the solus action is savage small shank threads. Would the shouldered aero prefit barrels work on the origin action and headspace be ok ?

According to Aero Precision, the Solus has the same thread pitch, diameter and tenon length. They say the Origin barrels fit Solus, and Solus barrels for Origin actions.

Hmmm... this has got me wondering.

I have a Bighorn/Zermatt Origin. Two of the barrels I have for it are barrel-nut pre-fits, and work great. The other one was done by a gunsmith (not a shouldered pre-fit, but actually done with the action in hand). Shoots great, but it's a bit of a pig in terms of weight/profile for the way the gun is normally configured (stock, etc.) so after about 75 rounds it came off and has been collecting dust.

I've been very interested in piecing together another chassis gun using an Aero Solus action. It'd be kinda nice if the barrel I have would fit right on there, no muss, no fuss. Plus reduce the initial cost outlay a bit as well.

The problem/concern in my mind is whether the barrel I have, that was (in theory) custom fit to my Origin action, would still screw onto a Solus action?

Unless the smith did something to the action or lug it should fit any Origin or Solus as it was made for the action like shouldered prefits are made.

That's what I'm hoping. This guy wasn't one of the old-school fudd gunsmiths that defaults to 'blueprinting' every action they touch, so odds are good.

I bought a 'used' but unfired krieger 7.5t 6cm shouldered barrel chambered by keystone accuracy for an origin and it fit my solus perfectly and is very accurate.
