More 30br brass turning videos.

Just was doing the same today. I use my small wood lathe to drive the collet case holder…. Hate those little brass curly’s!!

It's actually 2 different pieces.
1 piece that goes into the drill that is primer pocket size determined (1 for small primers and 1 for large primers).
It has threads on it and the shell holder (also size determined) screws on it. When I get home tonight, I will take a couple of pics and message you.

Very simple to work. The first key is to find a drill that spins true. Ryobi won't do it. I have gone through 4 Dewalt in the 13 years I have been turning brass and they all have spun true. 2nd key is to make sure the tool is in the drill chuck square. I have to try it a few times to find the right combination.

I found if the tool is chucked in the Dewalt cordless drill as deep as it will go then it seems more square and spins true.

Find someone you really dislike and gift them that nasty-azz Hornady set up. If you don't dislike anyone that much, wrap it up and leave on the front steps of a church.

Then make your life a lot easier and call PMA. Don't go wobbly in the knees about price...get the carbide mandrels. Best investment ever for turning necks.

Good shootin' :) -Al
