Next, Hornady will branch out into shooting equipment. Can't wait to see what the Hornady "Knee-O X Too" lools like.
agreed, i'm glad this came out before i invested in anything needsmore or PRC related. going to make my future choices much easier nowThis comes as no surprise from Hornady. Any company that can stand toe to toe and outright lie as they did concerning the performance of the 6.5 Needmoor will do whatever it takes to make that buck no matter the consequences.
You are my hero for the day Bill!….my fat ass is rolling on the floor!….im so glad there’s someone else besides me that mocks the do all crudmoor!…This comes as no surprise from Hornady. Any company that can stand toe to toe and outright lie as they did concerning the performance of the 6.5 Needmoor will do whatever it takes to make that buck no matter the consequences.
...or time has passed and the patent expired ?Apparently Henderson didn't patent properly. If it did have a patent.

lol you are very wrong sir, except maybe the young part. 32, give me a call sometimeI kinda picture you as a young frustrated "person" full of piss and vinegar sporting a manbun and shooting Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor Match grade ammo unable to hit your target......BUT I could be wrong![]()
K22 do you have a camera on your phone?Sometimes you have to turn mother's picture to the wall, hold your nose, then proceed. However, there are many things that can cause 'stomach acid' in today's brave new world but a trimmer isn't one of them, at least not from what I see in today's world gone mad.
I really like, I mean really like their pistol bullets, XTP's and rifle bullets, Vmax. So, I will keep buying those in large quantities as long as they are still available, and I can afford them.
One compliant I have is Hornady covets their reloading manual like it's the first edition of Hemingway's classic, "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Whereas Nosler allows you to download specific bullet loading data free. Apparently Nosler figure it out, they make more money, a lot more money selling bullets than reloading manuals. Hornady has yet to discover this but there is always hope.
I just want some load data for their 223 60 Vmax. So, with my old brain, I have to memorize it from the display copy of their manual at my local shop and hope I get it right.Even the local shop figured it out, they make a lot more money from selling bullets, powder and primers than reloading books thus they have display copies you can peruse. (My vent of the day

No but he wears a mean mask and gloves!… Hornaday one shots not giving him lung cancer or dirty fingers…….I kinda picture you as a young frustrated "person" full of piss and vinegar sporting a manbun and shooting Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor Match grade ammo unable to hit your target......BUT I could be wrong![]()
It's not as simple as a product being the same. The answer to your questions has to do with the details in patent copyright laws. There are certain lines you can not cross to copy a product. Also, once a patent or copyright expires, the item is open for being copied by anyone. You guys are all up on this design that ressemble the Henderson but have nothing to says on all those lathe style bench trimmer produced by every reloading manufacturer, that are all the same principle ?
What about all those dies that look the same ? What about all those single stage press that look the same ? What about all the shell holder ? What about primer pocket uniformer ? I can go on and on with products that are the same…
The only thing the Hornady and Hendersen share are the horizontal rods..thats it.
how? when? Not to be funny, but Hornady copied my bullet design. It’s true.
On the Henderson you don't have to buy different cutter heads for different calibers if you don't want to, you can buy a $5 pilot and readjust your cutters on the cutter head if you want. It's just convenient to have different heads adjusted already, thats all. And it's not hard to adjust just takes a 5-10 minutes from removing the head to finish.Henderson was using Forster cutters as well as the collets, Forster only made 6 calibers. I would have needed 3 custom built cutters at the time I looked at it, which made it pretty pricy (2014 or 15). Maybe they use a different cutter now, adjustment on a Forster cutter is tricky. Hornady claims theirs is easy, not too sure how they'd go about doing that for the inside chamfer, unless it sets up off the pilot, not so sure it is really that simple. And Hornady only offer 4-5 rim sizes for their collets, so, it isn't anywhere near as versatile as a Henderson, at least at this point in time. Hornady apparently had a 3way cutter a few yrs back, either never launched it or took it off the market, showed on website, but, NFS. If you own oddball cartridges, it'll likely be useless for them due to collet size, at least for a while. They're doing a Basspro and catering it to the top 20% of the market at present.
In the meantime, I assembled a 21st Century setup for myself, 3 way cutter and neck turn, no need for anything else now. I expect I still couldn't do the 218 Bee on a Hornady, probably no colllet for it.
