Magazine and bolt. What do you suppose it would take besides a barre,l to get a CZ527 in 223 or 300 BLK to feed the 338 ARC?
Seems not enough known yet. 300 BLK will shoot subsonic 190-220 fine. Hornady must have special projectiles in store, unless they're using the 225 grain CX, but they mentioned sub-x. Seems smart, the SCOTUS Bianchi may be accepted on 11/12 to be considered on 11/22, which would open a huge market for the AR-15 mini-action. I kinda like the Grendel for supersonic like it is in 100-120 grain. It does seem a big step up over 300 BLK though. Accuracy between 6.5 Grendel and 338 ARC will be interesting in supersonic, but the goal seems to be subsonic, even using Hornady sub-x from their comments.Right, 7.62 x 39 or 6.5 g would be the way to go. ThenI still expect a modification of the Mag may be required.
I don't know...I don't see this being as accurate as 6.5 Grendel, and it seems that subsonic is being targeted.Priced out some of this fresh product. This game isn't for the poors.
I think the 8.6blk's faster twist has merit as a subsonic only round if the subx lead bullet will hold together at 1100fps.
Why would you question the sub-x holding together at 1100fps? Isn't that the point? Rifle is going to be at least 2000fps most likely. Holding together for 8.6 BLK in 1:3 twist is a bigger concern.
? Where did you buy it ?I bought a reamer.
...... I Don't know why...
Meh..... what's the problem this new round is supposed to solve? Zero interest. Then again, zero interest in either BO also.
So, I'm a Troglodyte, I admit, but I have absolutely zero interest. Factory or wildcat makes zero difference. I've seen too many badly damaged AR's by .300BO misuse and 3-twist barrels for 8.6BO is just nuts. Nope. Not for me, but that leaves more for all you guys. Enjoy.Commercially available subsonic 338. Yeah, there are a million wildcats, but when stuff is "off the shelf" it usually takes off.
It seems worth a read, any cartridge that safety supports the AR 15 especially a SAAMI and commercial available cartridge is a good thing.Sweet, more crap you don't need.
I saw that the drawing on the Manson site says SAAMI submitted.![]()
That's the research I want to do, if it can chamber in a 5.56, 6MM ARC, 6.5 Grendel or any other cartridge I'm out!So, I'm a Troglodyte, I admit, but I have absolutely zero interest. Factory or wildcat makes zero difference. I've seen too many badly damaged AR's by .300BO misuse and 3-twist barrels for 8.6BO is just nuts. Nope. Not for me, but that leaves more for all you guys. Enjoy.
