Hornady 338 ARC

New round. 338 ARC by Hornady. My understanding is that they are trying for a cartridge between 300BO and 8.6BO that still uses the AR 15 size platform.

Like a 338 Spectre using a 6.5 Grendel/6ARC case (I think).

I'll probably get in on this, I'm already deep in 338. With this I'd have the upper and lower end of the velocity range covered. I pondered on the 338 federal, and a .338x39mm. 338arc will be easy.

Why am I always a step ahead. I just got custom reamers for a .375x49 design of my own which is a lightly tapered case design meant to be run subsonic. So far so good on my design but I am at a slight stop until I get a second bbl cut that makes the gun ballance correctly.

Thats too much case capacity for my liking. Waiting on a cpl more custom bullets to come in but so far I can hit 100% fill and stay subsonic with 325-350gr with 100% burn in a 16"
