Picatinny rail for a 700 BDL 22-250

What would be a good Picatinny rail for a Remington 700 BDL 22-250? I bought this rifle new back in the late 70's.
My thoughts are I shouldn't need a 20-moa rail for a 22-50. Is that thinking, correct?
Thanks in advance,
Danny

I also have the Leupold and a couple others. I don't think you'll need the 20 moa base, if you have the stock 14 twisted barrel and shooting old school bullets up to 60 grains. It's probably fine out to 500 - 600 yards with just the scope adjustments and standard base. Use the Burris rings.

How far do you plan to shoot it?;)
Just asking. A lot of guys, these days, are setting up guns to “shoot 1000 yards” and wind up stuck at a 300 yard max public range.
I buy EGW rails mostly. Well built and cheap. Unless you want to drop names at the range, they’ll do fine.

Wal mart is shipping me a Warne 473 20 moa rem 700 rail for 25 and change. I haven't used a Warne or 20 moa rail before. For less than 26 dollars shipped to me I might as well try one.

The reason I am asking I am going to try our 100-200-300 yard varmint shoot with my 22-250. I do shoot ARA 22 unlimited class and have a choice of three Sightrons I could use. 36ED, 45ED and a 10-55x60 that already have rings for picatinny rail on them. I have badger ordinance on my ARA unlimited gun but don't really want to spend $170 for another rail. Probably like to be in the $100 range. Have had good luck with Talley, Warne, Murphy (spendy but nice), etc.

I meant to say the heavy egw has full rail slots all the way across the rail we’re their and others cheaper rails have just the tunnel down the middle with partial slots on the edges, if that makes sense.

Why not just buy the Leupold 20 moa Standard dovetail front with windage rear base.

On the topic of tilt on the rail, I would say if your scope has enough elevation range to zero the scope then go ahead and get a 200 moa rail. It's one of those " it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it".
