Small Rifle Primers

I do it :)
While I have a scale good enough to sort to 0.02 grains they get binned because I am looking for the 30 or so outliers to use as fouling rounds or fun velocity experiments.
For the last few bricks of CCI450 primers the average is close to 3.66 grains.
Sorting to 0.02 grains is sort of overkill as two 3.66 grain primers could have metal parts a little heavier/lighter and hide slight variations in mix weight.
The extreme heavy (or light) primers have shown variations in velocity as well as vertical @ 600.

You can sort and bin or just collect extreme outliers and do something with them.

Rocket
Thank you Sir
That is the type of information I was wondering about. I knew the CCI 400s had a thinner cup material, therefore lighter weight. Have found slight variations in others.

Just an attempt @ S / D first then velocity.

Thanks
Have a great weekend.!

I've been using a weekly pill planner. I weigh a few and get an idea of the spread. I stick a label on the inside lid of the pill planner with the weight. I can knock out 100 in just a few minutes this way. I've been combining groups of 0.02, but I haven't used them in a match yet.
