The Creedmoor legend grows!

So if I remember right the “creed” was introduce mainly as a hunting round but turned into a competition round mostly in PRS because iit feed well from a magazine

I take your word for it, I'm no historian. Seems that the PRC lineup was created off the 6.5 Creedmoor concept, which is really nothing new that Ackley hadn't done. Hornady didn't just mimick the Ackley, he often used a flatter shoulder which was said to help the life of brass. I don't know if that's the case either as I don't have an Ackley. Hornady picked the more forgiving/common 30 degree shoulder.

Not to be ANAL but Shouldn't that be 7.8 Creedmoor???

I worked in a little gunsmith shop for a few years and the funniest thing I ever had happen there was a guy walked in with a brand new Savage that wouldn't fire. Me: Can I help you, Him: My brand new gun won't shoot. Me: What cartridge? Him: six five Me: six five what ? Him: Creed. Boss walks in, I explain the situation. Boss asked where it was purchased and the guy said his mom bought it for him at Academy and he can't return it. Boss takes the gun back in the test chamber closes the door and boom, I looked at the guy and said, "it's fixed, that will be 50 bucks".
It turned out that he was trying to fire his buddy's ammo. 6.5 Grendel ?

My Talisman hangs from my reloading press and gives amazing results to any round I reload.......LOL This post has the potential to go on for a while. Popping the corn now.
Funny thing is that I decided that I'd shoot the Mighty Creedmoor for the rest of the matches in the season so I loaded up 300 rounds. While I was loading I was thinking that the 6 BRA only burns 31 grains of Varget to drive a 109 Berger. At 41.5 grains of H4350 to drive the 140 Hybrids I was lamenting the volume of powder being consumed in this inflationary economic period.

People that, Piszz and Moan about, the 6.5 Creedmoor, have probably,.. NEVER,. shot One !
Yep,. I WAS One of, those,.. at One Time, myself !
It's a Tad less powerful than, a .270 Win But with, HIGH BC Bullets that,. STAY, "Afloat",.. Forever !
NOTICE those Pock Marks, on the Moon, created with,.. 143 grain, ELD-X's ! ( See Post #18 )
My 130 gr ELD-M Bullet, "Pock Mark" is just to, the Right,. a few, inches and, a Bit lower.
The 130 grain, ELD-M's or, Berger 130 gr. OTM Hybrid's at, 2,800+ FPS,.. are Nothing, to Sneeze at !
The 6.5 Creed, "Fills the Bill" for, a cartridge Between, a .243 Win and, the .270 Win,.. Nicely !

You guys are brutal on CM...

I like most rifle cartridges, so I like the 308 also, but I wanna see someone load some 7.6mm bullets in their 308 brass. Talk about loosey goosey...:p The 6.5CM has it's place, IMO, but most equivalent bullets are lighter in 6.5 than 308. Still, both have their place for me. I recommend one of each.:)
