Decapping problem?

Having a problem with decapping 223 brass. Primer sticks to decap pin and gets pulled back up into brass.

Round the end of the rod and also adjust the pin upwards so it just needs to kick the primer out and not push so deep into the primer cup.

Is it the version with the spring "kicker" to pop the primer off the pin? I have that one and it works very well.

DDRanch, if you are using a Mighty Armory decap die and are having a problem with the die, read the instructions for the die again. A simple thing I know, but we macho dudes need to suck it up sometimes and read the instructions. Not trying to be a prick but that is what it took for ME to not have problems and quit bending the pins.

MA? You might be screwing the top all the way down? You're supposed to back it off 1/2 turn so the spring can *fling* the old primer off.

I am not familiar with that die but all mine work flawlessly with a 5/32 protrusion of the pin, just enough to punch it out.

I backed off the top cap about a ¼ turn and it now works!
Before I was not getting the "click" when primer was flicked off.

What are you all using to keep the decap pin tip from un-screwing from shaft?
The purple vibra-tite does not work for me.
