Urbanrifleman's Barrel in 223 AI ....Saweet!

Sure the forum boss will appreciate this when he returns..... he had one ask before he left. Keep things civil

So sad that these threads go haywire. Very disappointing.

It really only takes one rude person to set it off. They can just come in and drop a grenade and walk off. I suppose they must get some twisted joy from it. It's so common now....

I thought it was a great thread. Too bad.

Hopefully getting back on track now that school has let out, what kind of freebore works well in the .223AI for 60-75 grain bullets?
Will the same freebore that works well in the non-AI version be expected to work well in the AI version with the same bullet?

The stock 223 Ackley freebore is 60 fb. Perfect for those bullets.

This was an interesting thread, too bad it went south. Those that crap on others thread I'm sure certainly would not like to have their threads crapped on. I hope we get another report from Shotafterdark on his progress.

This is my favorite prairie dog cartridge. I shoot 53 V-Max with TAC powder. Right at 3,500fps and it shot 1.13" at 300 meters with a flyer. Barrel, Shilen, has about 2,500 down the tube.
