It’s a toss up Barts Avenger 68 BT or the Hillbilly 68 BT.
Yes… and they are supposed to be approved by @Forum Boss before posting…Is there a way to do a poll on here?
Do you sort them by oal or bsto ?
Hi Frank.Do you sort them by oal or bsto ?
With 30 caliber bullets, figuring out the amount of lube and keeping it consistent seems to be one of the most important steps. Most any custom bullet (Bart, Hillbilly, EPS, or even those made by of one my fellow shooters) will be great, then the Bergers for factory offerings.
I swage light .30 cal bullets at home. Still learning the intricacies but they are not any worse than factory offerings.
Jackie, keeping notes on all the J4 jacket lots I've used has been invaluable. With tool steel dies, the jackets are much fussier to the lube amount. The lube window can be pretty narrow with some lot numbers. The widest lube window was the 'camp fire jackets'...a Donna Robinett-ism.With 30 caliber bullets, figuring out the amount of lube and keeping it consistent seems to be one of the most important steps.
Thanks Jackie! My challenge has been achieving consistent bullet core weights. I have taken the "easy" route while I learn, Charlie's cores are great. With 30 caliber bullets, figuring out the amount of lube and keeping it consistent seems to be one of the most important steps.
Clay Spencer did make some 103 GR. That my Br liked. Clay stoped making them a few years back. Lucky for me i am on the last 1000 i have. Tommy McLike it says, what is the absolute most accurate 6mm bullet you have shot? Does not matter what weight.
How would you go about buying Bart's bullets I have left mgs twice Maybe the wrong number?
