bullet weight

I have recently bought a Rem 700VLS in 6mm rem caliber. I want the most accurate load for this gun, what powder, what bullet and what weight?

Might not be quite that simple. Your rifle may like a load different from what works for others. Here's the most accurate 6mm Rem load from my rifle:

95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip
48 grains Reloader 22
Winchester brass
Federal 210 match primers
2975 fps from the 22" barrel

Note that this was for my rifle, intended for deer hunting. It works well for that purpose and produces very good accuracy. Interestingly it's the same velocity I got from factory loaded Federal 100 grain "classic" soft-point ammo, 2975 fps.

For a varmint load, I use the 75 grain Sierra hollowpoint over 49 grains of H4350. Just as accurate, and more explosive terminal ballistics.

The VLS has a 26" barrel as I recall. You should see substantially higher velocity than my 22" barrel churns up.

Regards, Guy
