A short Arken Scope testimony.

There our some previous post here and LRH about early Arkens EP5 vs newer ones.Does anybody here have or had to compare ?
I had one of the first EP5's .Tried it in ELR22 50m- 500m. Sold it,but miss the elevation travel and the large turrents for old eyes,but not the eyebox and my reflection in the ocular. It did distort image at extreme turrent travel compared to my other scopes .Might try one again.

Never heard of Vector, checked them out, the continental series has some nice features. I’d like to try one, maybe that 2-12x40.

I’ve been eyeing one for awhile. Please share your thoughts, kind of a strange reticle but I kind of like it.

Yeah should work good. I had a straight 4X prism optic on my 7.62x39 upper, but I could tell it was far more accurate than the 4x optic allowed me to shoot. So I slapped a cheap 4-16 scope on the upper temporarily to see what it would do and it easily printed 3 different 3 shot groups under 3/4” at 100 yards from a bipod. One group was in the .5’s. All still using factory ammo while I build my brass up for reloading!!! I am so impressed with the 7.62x39 in the AR platform. Hard hitting, absolute flawless feeding and functioning, and far beyond adequate accuracy for its intended purpose.

So I am excited to get this new 1-8 lpvo. Should be a perfect match

Which model line were the Vectors? They seem to have a lot of options from cheap to pricey.

There’s a lot of garbage Vortex scopes out there too.

I have an Arken SH4J Gen III 4-24x50 on a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Long Range Target in 6.5PRC. Entire set up is AMAZING!
First Arken scope I got had some issues with tracking and/or reticle. I contacted Arken and they sent me a postage paid return label. Returned it and they sent me a brand new scope, turn around was literally same week.
Nothing bad to say about Arken.

I think Arken should expand the EP8 line next. The next EP8 scope should start on the extreme other end from a 1-8x28 LPVO, and release a 6-48x56 LR Tactical/Target scope with 2FP option as well

They seem to be headed that way. Arken seems to have a good sense of what people want and what will not get dusty in a store house. They keep bring out new models people want and a lot of that is listening to their customer base. You wanted a lighter scope, they gave us the EPL line, you want capped turrets they came out with the LH series, 1-8 LPVO, they did it. Same with night vision, they came out with that and now those 7-35x56 so I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if they did something for the LR crowd. I wish more companies were as in tune with what people want, they do a great job.

A good quality affordable LR target scope would kill in the market. There’s some sub $1k target scopes out there, but none of them have ever really impressed me at all.

The older I get, the pickier I get with reticle styles. I pretty much HAVE TO HAVE a dot in the center, I don’t like full top posts, perfect thickness is critical, etc…I just know what I like. Arken is really doing a great job with their reticles in my opinion. We don’t t need a thousand options, we just need a few good ones and they really deliver on their designs. Very well thought out and versatile
