What's your charge and velocity now?6 PPC, 65gr Berger BT. What powder(s), if any, would you expect to give more MV than VV133?
(Hint, if I am using BT's I might not be looking for ultimate accuracy.)
I can appreciate the question but I don't want to bias any responses nor see the thread dragged down into the weeds. What's your charge and velocity now?

I am asking for the sage input of the experts here, or if not experts, those with more experience than I with a 6 PPC, what powder they would look to for more MV with a 65gr Berger BT and 205(M) primer
Rather than seeking a particular speed, I am asking the experience of the shooters here as to a powder with which the have found more velocity than with VV133 under a 65gr bullet. I presume they would not share load they didn't like. You didn't say what velocity you're looking for.......SO...follow the other "Hellfire and Brimstone" loads that seem to be popular these days....other shooters are using like 30.5gn to 31.5gn of VV-133. Some shooters say you "just gotta have it" to get to 3450-3500+fps with 65-67gn bullets.
Good luck and stay safe.
There ain't but so much powder you can burn in a 20-22" barrel........All the powders in the suitable burn rates are gonna give about the same performance.. I think if there was a powder that gave appreciably more velocity than VV-133,they would certainly be using it........some shooters think speed is everything. Maybe go to a lighter bullet and/or a longer barrel with little slower powder.Rather than seeking a particular speed, I am asking the experience of the shooters here as to a powder with which the have found more velocity than with VV133 under a 65gr bullet. Never use Pistol/Shotgun powder in Centerfire rifle loads. There ain't but so much powder you can burn in a 20-22" barrel........All the powders in the suitable burn rates are gonna give about the same performance....other than that,I guess you can just start adding a little Bullseye powder and see what happens.
Good luck.
In my experience with LT32 and N133, one of those powders will give you more speed than the other. If you have N133, buy a pound of LT32 and do a work up with it with a good chronograph and see where either tops out at in your barrel and component set up. AND record the lot number of each powder. The next lot you buy probably will not give you the same speed. As an example, I have a lot of N133 that (out of 4 different barrels) shows about 40-55+fps faster than the lot that I prefer to use, and no matter what charge it shows less accuracy than the previous and current lot.6 PPC, 65gr Berger BT. What speeds are you normally getting from your present load ?6 PPC, 65gr Berger BT. What powder(s), if any, would you expect to give more MV than VV133?

New (to me) rifle. Looking for a powder to start with. I have sufficient quantity of N133 but if there is a powder likely to give me a little more velocity I might as well start there. What speeds are you normally getting from your present load ?
Well, I'm not so sure you will find much more speed from either of the other usable powders. I'm getting 3541 FPS with 30.3 gr. of VV-N133 and backed down due to better accuracy @ 29.7 gr. with Bart's 68 gr. Ultras. I probably could have went on up a little more than 30.3 gr. without seeing pressure signs on my brass or primers but decided to stop since my accuracy was stellar at 29.7 gr.New (to me) rifle. The PO made his own bullets so no help there. I will shoot 300 yard varmint benchrest and chose a BT to get a little more BC, perhaps at the expense of a bit of accuracy but for the game at hand it is a good tradeoff.
I think you'll find it very hard to outperform N133 in a serious target gun chambered in 6ppc. It is probably the most documented wining powder of all time in a target load, but definitely in 6ppc.New (to me) rifle. Looking for a powder to start with. 3,500+ with 68's, that is more than I am hoping for.Well, I'm not so sure you will find much more speed from either of the other usable powders.
