Favorite $300-500 budget scope

Depends on how and what you're shooting at, which translates into an entirely different scope ( ffp/sfp, reticle, etc)?

I love athlon midas btr or tac. Some models in the $479-569 range. Glass is great, slightly better than my zeiss v4. Closer to my sightron s3 but sightron is a 56mm so its abit better at low light.

Athlon. Camereraland has or had good deals on the midas tacs. I also dont like arken.

I have a Sightron 4-20x S-Tac. They are nice scopes, but I wouldn’t pay current retail of $530 for one. Got mine on sale for under $300 and at that price point, they are definitely worth a try. Otherwise, I think you can do better in the $500 price range.

I have also had a 6-24x and a 10-50x Sightron S3 scope. Again, would never pay normal retail price for one. Sightron makes a really basic scope with glass that delivers a darker image than most. Sightron was maybe good glass 10+ years ago, but it’s just middle of the road glass in today’s market with higher amounts of manufacturers and the competition it has created. And as has always been the case in the past, Sightron continues to lag badly behind the competition.

Whats your favorite go to scopes around $300-500. Mainly shooting from 100-500 yards max.
