First woodchuck 2024 N. IN

You gotta love those old cable reels. They make a darn nice bench. Good shooting.

This little bugger was out back long enough for me to set up a rifle, get a distance with the binos, and make a shot. I was surprised! Woodchuck season is open in N. IN.

227 yds, 6x47 L, 85 gr Sierra SP #1520

Howdy !

Great job there !

I live in East Allen Co. Am trying to finish up on a large landscaping project, so that I will have more free time to shoot groundhog; once the beans sprout. Not sure anybody has soybeans " IN " yet, in this area ?

Will verify sight-in, and do some long delayed load work; very soon.

Keep up the good work !

Around here the soybeans just started going in this week. We should start seeing them sprout shortly.

nice shot and a good looking setup. Id like to try that caliber someday. What stock and barrel contour is that? Gotta love those sierras. Keep up the good shots!

That is a McMillan Carbon Fiber stock. Barrel is a Rock Creek 5R, 1/8" twist, #3.

Nice rifle. Bet that’s a nice carry gun for deer too. Shooting chucks keeps ya sharp. The ones around here are SMART! Try the 80gr blitz or 60gr hp point also.

Yes, that is a dual purpose rifle.

I like the Sierra 60 gr HP very much. Run them in my 6 TCU. Wood chuck hunting is fun, great times.
