Brass quality compared to lapua

I'm looking for opinions on brass quality of alpha , peterson and others that make 6br brass compared to lapua. I've used a bunch of lapua and if it was available i would use it. How does the other brass compare in keeping tight primer pockets and lasting in general. Is it as uniform as lapua in terms of neck turning and are the case capacities the same. I use 6br and expand up to 30 br also and would like to know if it is suitable for competition use. Let's hear your experiencies as I've never used any of them. Thanks

What Bill said is correct I use peterson, alpha and norma you will have to adjust your powder charge for the alpha brass but Ive shot match's with all of the brass along with the lapua. Once you fire foam to your chamber it want know what brand your loading

My lot of Peterson 6BR brass has the same capacity as my 2 lots of Lapua. Consistency is very good and the brass is just as tough. Necks are a tiny bit thicker resulting in 0.001” larger loaded diameter, out of the box.

Just as a side note: same story with Peterson 6.5x47.

I love Peterson brass. I find it very hard to beat for both price and quality. I look for Peterson first and then start sourcing others if needed. My wife is using Alpha dasher brass and so far I have zero complaints with it as well. Seems to be well made and consistent. Just received 100 alpha cases for a 6BR I am building but have not yet used any to report on.

Peterson is probably as good as Lapua. I’ve used it in 6BR and 6x47. Very happy with it.

I have had alpha in 6 and 22 GT and while it’s better than most, it’s certainly not Lapua.
You shouldn’t have to uniform the pockets on alpha, in fact it’s suggested that you don’t, but the necks are tapered and the neck wall consistency is poor. I won’t be using it anymore unless Lapua and Peterson don’t make what I need.

Have used Lapua and Peterson in my 6BR--no complaints with the Peterson--it measures very very close to the Lapua after a firing or two. Really can't tell any diff and am using same charge in both
The growth after a firing is almost identical I will buy more Peterson when the chance comes around--
I will have to get a lot better to tell any advantage on Lapua--I have 6 firings on Peterson now--zero issues--it has settled down and is very consistent
At 30g Varget and six firings the pockets still feel normal

I've never ventured into the Peterson realm. Nosler and Lapua mostly. But after reading about them on their website and reviews on here, they seem like a really good company. Made in USA too. Will give them a run in a batch and see how they fly.

ADG brass is excellent I now can use the 6GT brass to form my 6X44 Tooley cartridge just bump back the shoulder .0240” and neck turn to fit my tight neck chamber.
