The last eclipse came right over us. Lots of people did exactly that. One guy mowed his hay field and brought in some outhouses. He had a mini-woodstock going on and made good money.

I had a talk with my cousin about that, as he has 100 open acres next to me. We figured it wasn’t worth the trouble. Trash left behind, ruts, carousing idiots, insurance liability.

The Local Papers say we should “prepare for the invasion”!! Buy fuel and food ahead of time, before the stores are “stripped clean”!
People love to over react, these days! Ohhhh…….the drama!

center and their saying we should have just under 4 minutes.

I'll be having my sons black lab with me the whole time. it will
be interesting to see how the animals will react.

I’m looking forward to the day as just like Fuj I am very close to what they consider the prime view in the country.
However I’m waiting on the 3 day forecast before I get excited at all.
Friends that I have had the pleasure of meeting at Ridgway are planning on on traveling to my place to view on eclipse day.

I’d like to see it if the weather conditions cooperate, however my main concerns are whether or not it messes with the walleye’s and or the Rut.

Thought about heading down to the SE part of OK to see it, but 1000 miles is a long way and you just never know about the weather and cloud cover. Those of you that are in the path of totality, enjoy it. I saw it a few years ago from southern Wyoming.

To be honest, I just can't get excited about it.

Well as long as you don't start getting the urge to start howling
and wanting to chase cars !!......LOL

I thought about driving up to the lake to see it. That thought was very short lived. I can’t see driving an hour and forty five minutes for four minutes of darkness.
