Vv N560 -20BR

Any body using VV 560 in there 20 BR ? I’m looking for a starting point. 1-11 twist using Berger 40gr

I would think 560 would be a bit slow (burn rate wise).

I did find 35.9 max load of 560 in a 6mm br

Gosh, it sure is slow!!!

From my experience on H4350-RL16-RL17 on a 55gr bullet- can’t get enough in there ..

Just scoop case full, crunch powder seating a bullet, and shoot it.. probably be around 2600fps w/ a 40gr bullet.. just guess here..

Kinda like stuffing 45gr of 4350 in a dasher case- not worth the effort-since other suitable powders are available…

In my 20 BR 12 twist I have used N540 and N550 I’ve settled on 30.0 of N540 with the 40 Berger as my accuracy load it is fairly mild and runs right at 4000 FPS. Today I’d be tempted to try N140 or N150 as I prefer the lower burn temps and I like the newest lot of N150 with its new formulation of course with the current prices on powder I realize you can’t have em all.

It works in my 20 Dasher with 55s and the 9 twist. Save that powder for when you get a 9 twist cut for a 20 BRAI

I have used N135 and only getting 3700 before pressure with a 40gr bullet so I thought I’d use a slow powder to see if I can get the velocity up and I already have 560 . Might try win 760?

I'm thinking you need a faster powder instead of a slower one.
Something in the burnrate of 8208 is were I would look. Accurate powders are cheaper and more readily available or V130

I know you want to use the powder you have. But Accurate powders have been pretty available the past couple years. 2520 with a 40 grain ballistic tip is my back up load in my 20 BR. A little over 4000 fps . Our local Scheels store has had it for $36.99 pretty regular.
H322 with a 39 grain Sierra is my go # 1 load at 4200 fps ( 9 out of 10 Praire dogs find this combination offensive!)
