22-250 AI loading?

Does anyone have a starting load for a 52 sierra in 1-10 twist for the AI I have 414,blc2, vv 135 powders available. thanks elton

Not quite a 22-250AI, but I have a 22BRX in a 10 twist 27"bbl. It spins jackets off 50gr ballistic tips when shot with any mid range load and above. Not sure how you will go with the 52gr HPBT sierras.

For 22-250 AI starting loads use 220 swift data. The case capacity for the AI and the swift are within a 1/2 grain so swift data is a good starting point.

Howdy !

My widcat .224" calibre cartridge has a bit less than
22 -250AI cap.

MY starting out 52-53gr .224" load was:
43gr I4350, and CCI LR Mag primer.

These days, I'd try/use FED LR Magnum Match primer. You could probably also start out with 41.5gr WW760, or same amount of H414. With these ball powders,
I recommend using LR Magnum primers; fer sher.

VV160 is likely another possibility, and you might get by using FED LR Match primers.

Use the FB 52s-53s, and really wring-out a couple of different NS bushings.

No probs, it doesnt really interest me for varmints unless its got a plastic tip anyway ;D

I shoot 46 Grains of H414 out of my 22-250 AI with 55 Grain Noslers...I would say start at 44 grains and work up from there...46 is my MAX!! That is out of a 26" 1in12 twist Shilen
