Varget and H4350 Price Trends

I dont remember where at but in some old chicken scratchin I did on paper, I had Varget 85 dollars a pound wrote down. Times are bettter now but it might get there again. They are making too much money to drop prices. Doug

You seen the price of imr4198? It’s just as high or higher then varget
I am just shocked imr powder that high

That's why the prices keep going up you guy's buy it! Your nuts let it sit there and watch how fast the prices come down.

I've been saying as many others I know that the best thing that could have happened is for us to go into a really bad recession two years ago. Sure a lot of people would have been hurting but by now we all would be better off. Now we are stuck with high prices because people have been paying these high prices for so long its the new norm.

Stopped by Brownell’s after work today and about fell over when I saw IMR 4350 priced at $69.99, Varget is $62.99. It’s funny how Vihtavuori used to be considerably more expensive than the others, doesn’t look like that’s the case anymore. I was grateful to find N140 on sale for $34.99 last fall.

About the same on the net for 8lb'ers. Graf's has H4350 for $389.99 as does Powder Valley. Best price for Varget is Cabela's at $379.99...

Just out of curiosity, is Brownell’s showroom as stocked and enjoyable as one would think it would be?

From what my national distributor is being told expect another increase.... Powder companies are saying to expect a 25-30% shortage over what's happening now... This unfortunately is what happens when America is basically funding three wars at once... In my opinion we are getting very close to WW3 if we're not very careful , or at the least another attack... If anything like that happens we're in deep trouble... There's massive amounts of terrorist already here in America and we just let them walk in... This is a dream come true for those people...

I think you are bailing against the tide here. Like I'm going to stop shooting at 73 years of age and lose some of the little time I have left? Sorry, but that's not happening. At this point in my life, my time is worth more than my money.

Edit to add:
I doubt that recreational shooters use enough powder to affect the manufacturers' bottom line, and military and law enforcement are not going to cut back. It is what it is. We are stuck with it.

Guess you got me there, but I bought as much as I could when Obama was in office because I new this was coming! and yes "WITH ALL YOUR MONEY WON"T ANOTHER MINITE BUY"
I'll be 78 in May so I know how you feel.

It’s probably not what one would expect, but it’s decent, and definitely worth visiting. Most items are in the attached warehouse. Items are ordered through a kiosk, then brought to the retail store, probably averages 15 minutes to get your items. Usually go there a couple times a week during the summer to see what’s been traded in.

I’ll post a small picture of how the powder was setup last night. Wish I had a better one to share.

Thought about trying it a while back to substitute my H4350 loads when it was hard to find but I figured it needed a magnum primer and I do not stock those in large rifle. I was happy to buy a few lb of 4350 a couple days ago when i saw it on the rack for 60$/lb. Guy said the price is going up so if not buy it now i'd just be paying more later... ; (
