12 Twist 6mm Urbanrifleman barrel PROJECT

Yep love mine but. Would rather keep it to varget or tac with a smaller case than 6xc

Varget or tac would be ideal for light bullets in 6xc.

I shoot ar comp with Berger 108s in 6xc. Stole that load from a highpower shooter using 8208. 34 grains at 2950.

Even ran it up to 3150 and it was shooting small.

I would do the 6xc with those powders you have.

Iv ran out of TS15.5. Going to do a short comparison with Varget tomorrow .
6bra urban rifleman 12twist bbl.050fb barrel
Got real good data with TS15.5 and the 80s
33g nowhere is the max pressure so will find out tomorrow. But I can't imagine it could do any better.
To date, that combination has given me confidence to stretch on out and make some shots I wouldn't had otherwise took.
Knowing is better than guessing!!!

I might want a 6bra in 12 twist. Yotes are thick this year.

One of my favorite rifles is a 12 twist chambered in zero freebore 6 BRA. It shoots good with bullets from 55-80 grain, although it could use a touch more room to keep the eighty grain bullets away from the donut area in the brass. I’ve shot coyotes, prairie dogs, and won a few club level varmint matches with it. Mine is a heavy varmint barrel which makes it a little front heavy. I think a light varmint contour is just about perfect for a varmint rifle.

Its just hard to choose between the 6xc and 6bra. When people post this @urbanrifleman

IF, i were to build an Exclusive Yote Hunting Rifle, it would be, a Short action Repeater ( Sub 8 pounds ), in 6 XC with, a 1-9 Twist,.. launching 87 gr. H-VLD Bergers or, 95 gr Classic Hunters,. fairly,.. FAST !
Nothing wrong with, the 12 Twist if, you like 60 to 80 grainer's, tho.
In Windy, Cold and at, Longer Range, conditions, I personally like, a little "More" Bullet, tho.
