Advances in small form factor radar sensors are the result of the automotive market.

Anyone else feel like LabRadar has been sitting on their golden goose, not improving the platform and got gobsmacked when a big company saw an opportunity in their market?
I like my LabRadar, but it’s one of the clunkiest interfaces of any piece of equi that I have used in a really long time. Like 1990s Tremble unit GPS clunky.

That cable is the manual trigger. When you shoot, you squeeze a bulb on the cable to trigger it.

A day late and a dollar short. If these were announced and available in Nov, they would have sold like hotcakes. Probably 90% of the available market just bought Garmins.

Given Infinition's almost non-existent development of the LabRadar since its release, I've always assumed that it - the LabRadar - must be a very unimportant item in their portfolio. Low margins and insignificant revenue and all that.
So a mad dash to save their market share after Garmin released the Xero doesn't make much sense to me.
Like everyone else, I'll be curious to see what the LX version brings. But, yeah, almost certainly too little, too late. The Garmin is stunningly good. And it's put out by a company with deep pockets and, at least for now, a willingness to continue developing their product (there have already been at least two production software updates since release).
Absent a remarkable new feature, or a significant price advantage, I just don't see the new LabRadar clawing back the market share they so recently let slip away. But glad they're trying!

I think it will have to perform as good as the Garmin. (not sure how you could get better) I just picked up a Garmin and don't really care to use my LR unless it will sit in one spot all the time which I don't have my own range so that's not happening.
I too think they got complacent with their product, Garmin came along, sales plummeted, and they scrambled quick to get an "improved" version out. Looks a little bigger than the Garmin too.
If they could fix their connectivity issues with the app, fix dropped shots, and do basically everything the Garmin does and more, they will be a contender. For the same price point, It's going to take a few months of guys reviewing it before anyone will switch back IMO if it can do what it's suppose to.

I don't think Garmin has been on the market long enough to saturate the market. Many like me are satisfied with the Labradar we have and certainly aren't spending another $500 or $600 just to get something smaller that doesn't do any more than what we have. The long run market is for those who don't currently have a top quality Chronograph.
