Exciting News: TSRA Long Range Championship 2024!

Just a question about Bayou Rifle’s matches.

I notice that in their HP 600 and 1000 yard prone matches, they have a class listed as “any rifle”
Does that literally mean what it says?

Kind of a catch all category from when the vast majority of rifles in the line had iron sights and would likely fall into one of the Service Rifle, match rifle or Palma rifle. After about 2015 when optics became legal in Service rifle a huge uptick in optics in high power occurred and most are now “Any/Any” as in any rifle, any sight. Full bore and Palma still require iron sights but most match rifle shooters in XTC are using optics now. Some matches I compete in still have a string with iron sight required. The string is specified as “Any/Iron”.

Thanks, I did not know that was a specific High Power Classification.
