Green Loctite on 10-22 barrel shank?

I am replacing my stock barrel with a green mountain barrel on my 10-22. The shank on the new barrel is a little bit looser than I would like, and allows spinning while in the receiver. Do you suggest using green Loctite while assembling to help with this fitment issue? If so, which number should I use? Thanks guys!

Blue 242 will do what you want and let you take it apart. Put it together and let it sit over night to set up.
Thank you so much for the input, but I’m not looking for a thread locker, I’m looking for the “tolerance mending” abilities that the green version claims to achieve. I’ve never used it before, and was wondering if their claims are true.

Other than thread lockers, referring to Henkel's LocTite products by color is a bit less than meaningless.

A small pet peeve of mine but there you have it. ;)

When I worked at Caterpillar in the Engine Shop, We used a product that I am sure was made by loctite but had Cat Branding called "Bearing Mount" Cat Part number 7M-7456. I'm sure it would work well for your application, But I'm not sure how easy it would be to remove. I am sure with heat it could be removed.

Loctite probably has the same product with their number.

Same here. There are several of each color (except purple I think?)

I think there actually is now a purple is for little tiny screws if my memory serves me right.

There are a few different green ones for different gaps, you may look into that.
