SuperTrickler Update 3.0

Yeah I think a lot of folks will like v3.0. Normally I shy away from x.0 releases but I know there's been lots of testing on this version and it's been impressive for a while so the released version should be pretty sweet.

I’ve tried them all. Always went back to 2.2. But this one is good. I like it.

It’s hard for me to move away from 2.20.6. I’ve never tried any other version because this one is working good. I have N133 dropping fast and pulldown 8208 running really fast. The 8208 is less than 5 seconds at an 80% success rate. With that speed I’m cool with two out of ten getting tossed back in the hopper. I use two cups to really move things along.

I was running 2.2 and was fine with it. Your speeds are great. I’m the same way I want to go fast.

This one is worth a try. You could order another SD card download 3.0 and the powder files on it. Plug it in if you don’t like it, just put your old card back in.

I've been super hesitant, but like that idea. I'm assuming all I need is a blank card?

On 2.20.6, I really tweaked the settings to make N133 run like I wanted. With the pulldown 8208, I selected H335 as my powder and it is really great. Like you, I want it to run as fast as I can.

Yes a blank card. Here the info from the manual. I didn’t realize the ST needed to format the Card.

Card Type
The maximum card size that is supported is 32GB. When replacing the card, a high-quality SD card such as a Kingston or SanDisk, is highly recommended. A cheaper card may work reasonably well but may slow your system down considerably. Further to this, a cheaper card may not support the
firmware upgrades, as this is very card quality dependent. The card must be fully SD Association compliant.

Card Format.
It is critical that you use the SuperTrickler formatting function and not use a card formatted by a personal computer. Often personal computers do not format to the SD Association specifications. The card might work in general but may not support the firmware updates.

Please see the System – Peripherals – SD card, for details on how to initiate the card formatting function.

Upgrading from 2.2 to 3.0 was easy enough but I'm not seeing previously reported performance solely by upgrading. For Varget I'm seeing 30.0gr pours between 4.9-7.5 seconds, which is great btw, approximately 55% of the time. For the remaining 45% I'm seeing over pours of .06gr+ on average. My sense is you still have to manually set/tune the parameters optimally versus the "AI" configuring values for you.

I recommend upgrading to 3.0 when convenient if for no other reason than to familiarize yourself with the updated screens and keep your tuning skills sharp.

With 133 the AI got it going without much tweaking. Down to 6 seconds and at 90 percent success. Varget was another story. It took a good bit of playing with but got it going pretty well 8.3 for 100 throws 95% Success rate.
