Rimfire wind flag recommendations?

I have Graham rimfire ball flags. They seem to work great. Just wondering if I should add at least one daisy wheel flag. If maybe it would show something the ball flags doesn’t. Any advice?
It was a personal choice for me....I tried some flags with props on them and they just didn't speak to me.

The sail tails are what talked to me best.....I really pick up on what they're saying.

Only way to find out it give them a try.

Thanks I am pretty new to all this. Trying to learn as I go. Thanks again

The above is an excellent post. I can't tell you how many times I have had a bullet that seemed to fly into the wind, only to see my flags switch almost immediately after the shot broke. I also can't tell you how many times I hear other competitors on the line when this happens to exclaim, that's impossible, goes against physics, IT HAD TO BE A BAD BULLET, A FLYER!! THIS AMMO HAS FLYERS IN IT! Of course, they are wrong. Need to pay attention to those tails! They drop before the flag moves in a switch, every time. If the tails are hanging straight down in calm conditions, look for them to start slowly moving into the flag stand. They will long before the flag moves and that little push can, often will, push the bullet the opposite direction of where your flags are pointed, or at least, change your hold point you were using for hits, into a hold that will score a 50 or a 9 (or a 10 instead of an X). Edit: to answer the OP's question, I shoot Ray Hill Wicks style dual vanes with sail tails in dry conditions and Ezell's in wet conditions. Both with sail tails of various weights.
Well said Sir!!

I'm new to the game and I've noticed my flags show me why my FLYER went where it did. LOL!!

Bill,
Those flags are pre bubble levels.
For the bubble level flags just unscrew the level and there is the set screw.
@BowChamp send me a PM and I will get you a set of levels if you want them.

Matt
Any sales coming up soon?? I need to buy 2 more … Hahaha.

Wicks dual vein all the way. The propellors help especially if you paint one leaf black. They show speed/ quartering well especially with four tapes off blades.
Mine do not bog down much in the rain and do not get imbalanced.
Those Graham sail tails, IMHO, are way too heavy. When needed, complimented by a couple of the same type by Ray Hill that are balanced bobbers for swirls.

@Mr.Spradlin

All right folks...Listen UP!!!!! I'm here to tell you these new Graham Rimfire Ball Wind Flags I just recieved are AWESOME!!!! I really like the ones I've been shooting over for about a year and it's hard to believe they could be made better but Mr. Matt has done just that.
The flags themselves are the same.....what he's done is make changes on the level system, now I don't have to keep the level in my pocket because each flag has it's on level and the new stands are a definite upgrade to the ones I have been using and I really liked the ones I already have.

It's good to see a person make small yet definite improvements to an already great product!!!

I also want to say thank you to Mr. Matt for standing behind his product.

I try my best.
Thank you for the kind words.

For my back yard air rifle range I use the ribbon out of a VHS tape. I’ll leave these set up all year long at my home range. Just a driveway marker stake with 18” of VHS ribbon taped to it. Very sensitive to wind changes. Also very reflective and easy to see 80 yards out. Cost next to nothing and everyone probably has a bunch of these sitting around not being used anymore. Just break it open and remove the spool. Probably a mile of ribbon in each tape. Just having one visible from inside the house to see if conditions are good for testing is a plus.

So I have a set of Graham wind flags that I have used for years and they work well. With surveyors tape for tails I can pick up most changes but I’m dipping a toe into the Rimfire world and it seems like a set of flags with even more sensitivity could be a plus. Slight switches can easily burn you at even 50 yards.

Any recommendations out there?

Dave.
I have Ezell, I think there well made and do a great job
