Pets in your reloading area?

My wife's new Berneydoodle puppy loves to come lay by my reloading bench the concretes real cool for him to lay on. Wanting a hot drink so in the middle of resizing cases with Hornady paste case lube I left it setting open on my lower shelf about 16" of the floor. When I came back to my bench in a couple of mins. to go back to sizing I saw his head in that shelf. Wondering what he was doing took a closer look and a new tub of Hornady Paste case lube was gone the boy licked 1/2 the tub out while I was away. A pooh mess in the yard after that. I wouldn't be suprised that a cat might do the same. Keep an eye on your pets!!!!!!

You have to watch puppy's carefully.
Everything is new to them and they will put almost anything into their mouth.
Thats how they test the world around them. It goes away with age.

Well maybe with some dogs, but not hound dogs!

My two Basset Hound girls lay at my feet when I'm at the bench. I can't move without looking first or I'd trip over them on a daily basis. Being Hounds, they have incredible scenting ability and can find anything anywhere if it has scent, which of course everything in the world does.

Lily and her sister Ruby at my bench:

One thing for sure, if any food item falls to the floor, there's no need to go look for it, as the two "Hoover Hounds" have already woofed it up, never to be seen again. Well, not until I see it again in the back yard in another organic form...... ;)

<< My girl is perfect. I have a comforter at the end of one of my benches
and she just falls asleep till I'm done.
She doesn't eat anything she's not suppose too. Guess I'm lucky.

I have a gate up to keep Maggie out, she would probably find that rogue primer that got away, so she stays out of this room.

Berneydoodle are famous for being "chewers" mine has shredded 2 TV remote controls, a couple of tennis balls and that was in 1 week.....the goldendoodle is just as bad......good luck

Much like infants and toddlers. Never know what they're capable of getting into, if given half a chance. Doesn't help when we don't completely clean up following a reloading session, fully putting items away and securing them. All good reasons to keep dangerous items locked away, screw-on caps secured, etc, even if it's "only" puppies and other animals around.

Thanks for the reminder.

My 4 year thinks she’s a puppy I found one of my brand new Fl die laying in the back yard in the grass a week later after tearing my garage apart looking for it.
