Labradar battery modification

My labradar USB port is junk again. No problem, send it back for a replacement port. But there's gotta be an option for a aa battery to USB adapter to run a USB battery pack and plug onto the AA battery socket? I haven't checked continuity to see which to use, or what adapter to buy? Anyone done something similar?

Thanks, I see that after I start looking around. Didn't know a magnetic adapter existed. But I'll get one and be done with the fragile port once it's back from repair

Check out post 25 in this thread from SnipersHide.

I did this mod to provide a seperate port for my external battery.

install a magnet and never pull out the plug again.
Thanks for posting this.... I hate those little plugs because that seems to be the weak link in anything.... First thought when I got my lab radar.... Ordered this set yesterday I never thought about buying something like this to help with the problem... Seems like a great idea....
