Labradar question

I did an exhaustive search to try and find an answer to my question. I recently bought a used Labradar, it appears to work fine with one exception, when I try to use the SD card and an external battery pack I get an error.
"USB connection detected. The device will remain locked until USB is disconnected".
Now I am pretty computer literate and it appears to me the LR is not seeing the battery pack as a power source but rather a connection to a PC. I have tried the following
1. Swapped cables
2. swapped power packs
When I use the internal batteries the LR works as intended. I am at a loss for why this would happen. I am thinking I might just use some Lithium batteries.

Has anyone else seen this error? I have reached out to Labradar but have not heard back from them.
Thank you

It’s been a while, but I seem to recall having to plug the usb cable into the LR, then plug the other end into the battery pack. It appeared that my external battery pack didn’t “wake up” unless I did it in that order.

They will answer you back. My guess is your SD card is the problem. Not formatted or defective.

Should be no problem using a card AND external battery. Make sure you have the right kind of card. I thought I remembered a “card” problem. Here’s a screenshot from the FAQ page of their website. I had to have the USB port replaced once as they were known to be fragile. It loosened up enough that shots were disrupting power and restarted the unit every shot. Guys were using magnetic connections to alleviate that situation. Good luck IMG_7232.png

I have two battery packs, a 2A@5V and a 3A@5V, neither one appears to work correctly. The SD card has been formatted according to the parameters on LR website and it reads just fine when I am using the internal batteries. Interesting article about the cables. Both of these batter packs came with the cables and I am wondering why a manufacturer would not include the two wire power cable if that is the issue and would you be able to use that same cable to recharge the battery pack.

Thanks for the help guys
