Who offers a drop in cut rifle match grade AR barrel in a 20 Practical with matching bolt

Matching spec is a good question...I've built a few ARs with McGowen or Kreiger barrels and not experienced any headspace issues. I have a 6.5 Grendel and 20 Practical with McGowen barrels, Rock River upper/bolt, no problems.

Not many options out there.... For what it is worth, I think a lot of the manufacturers don't concern themselves with matching bolts in this caliber as you will be sizing brass before the first time it is fired in your chamber - allowing you to set your brass to the bolt, so to speak.

The original M16/AR15 design was standardized into Mil-Specs. That is both good and bad, but for now lets take the good view, like being able to swap any good quality bolt and stay within headspace specs.

Yes - I've swapped out bolts on mine. I just measure from the bolt face to the outer locking lug rim and, as long as the new bolt measures the same or less, I continue to run ammo already loaded if the bolt change couldn't wait. I haven't run into a bolt that was more than .003" +/- longer than what I'm replacing. I buy several bolts at a time and try to get a few closely "matched" for this purpose.

I have uppers in 17rem(Shilen barrel/bolt combo) 20p, 223 Wyde, and a factory Bushmaster 556. Only thing I can't swap is the bcg from the Bushy into the 17 rem- rds will not go into battery. So I have dedicated a bcg to each.
