Central Pa Airgun Results 12/16/23

We had a fine turnout of 10 shooters today for our monthly Springer Airgun Match. Al Duster made the trip from Butler in Western Pa and won first place with a score of 56. Fine gentleman that Al is, he donated back his first place money to buy targets for next year. At 81 soon to be 82 years of age Al has made a habit of showing us how to do it.John Wacher from out Bedford way was once again in the money taking second place. Sam Salyards our score keeper continued his winning ways capturing third. I learned something intertesting about 2 of our shooters who in their respective NRL divisions are ranked second in the nation, George Price and Steve Llewllyn. Makes me feel not so bad getting beat by shooters of this caliber . We also had an observer who tried the Spring Gun shooting after the match and declared, "I will be back with a gun". So it was a good day at Double Tap Indoor Range in Altoona, Pa. Thanks to all who came, we have a great group. Next match Jan 27, 2024. That would be a good thing. Most of us shoot daily but not at the same place. Most of our shooters are close an hour away. Sam and I will head their way once the weekly winter league starts out the road in Feb . Our monthly shoot will continue along with it. Do what I did. Find a facility, round up one other guy and start something.
