Disarm Us?

Please stop voting for candidates just because they were career military. They are usually the worst elected officials. They spent 20 or 30 years doing what the government told them to do without question. Why do you think they will be more concerned about you then the government?
Texas has this problem. Electing politicians only because they are veterans. They get to Washington and go right back to doing what the government tells them to do.

Hah, when I was in high school in 1977 in Oregon we always drove to school in our trucks and jeeps with the std 2 tier rubber coated back window gunracks loaded up with a deer rifle and a 22 or shotgun. And we would bring our flat top Blackhawks of varying calibers in our backpacks to show off at lunch break. During recess the gang would meet at a certain spot to chew Copenhagen and discuss to death, over and over, the merits of our respective big bores. Our main resource was field & stream and Outdoor life. I was sold on my 280Rem, I remember the others in my crowd having 270, 30-06, 45-70, 300 Savage and a 300 Weatherby. We all started reloading at 16. How times have changed! Sad how it has evolved since than and we are now the minority on the losing side.

I relate to your upbringing, my how times have changed. The broken homes and video games with multiple “life” resets have undoubtedly contributed to this mess.

It is amazing that 'they' are so concerned with this new firearm related violence but NOONE in gov't is addressing the ultra violent video games that the young kids grow up playing for hours a day. If I had grown up shooting people on video games every day then I should have be banned from ever owning the real thing when I became of age. Silicone Valley has the influence to keep the bucks rolling in no matter what the outcome is for society. They dont give a shite. I never ever thought about shooting a human being when I was a gun laden teen. Big bucks ect were the only thing my mimd.

Your post has some merit, but I also do not believe anyone should be the commander of our armed forces without ever serving our country.

HE can't do squat unless HE is elected to a position of power.
Till then, HE's just another Guy that thinks like a lot of us.

True, but like most, he is missing this angle: ie Grand Theft Auto has 6 BILLION in gross sales and Call of Duty video games just surpassed 30 BILLION. Guess who owns Call of Duty? Microsoft! It ll Greed, money and returns on investment override social responsibility when one has skin in the game. But it is too late as we now have a whole new generation of kids imprinted with make believe firearm violence.

We need to elect People like him! But first, we need to convince them to run.
good luck convincing them (us), I truly wish it was possible to stop the machine that was put in motion so long ago, I do dream of that on a daily biases

Back during the Carter years they closed a load of mental hospitals and now these people have nowhere to go for help.Really smart move.
And remember that now that she (his wife) is dead the news touts her as a great supporter of mental health.
Her husband was the worst of all US presidents, and that’s saying a lot.
When he drops dead will we hear about:
Giving the Panama Canal away?
Granting unconditional amnesty to 200,000 draft dodgers?
The 444 day Iran hostage situation?
The great Mariel boat lift?
14% mortgage rates?
He owes for his education at Annapolis ( failed to repay with 4 years active service?
Calls himself a nuclear theorist ( no such title)
Made Americans to be ashamed of being American?
The list goes on and on but wait for this spin.

Not to mention CD rates paying 18-20%, but inflation was 25%. But, he was a nice guy, truly. As a president, he sucked. Worst since is the current idiot-in-chief.

First step in making compliant slaves....disarm them... There's not enough Internet for me to post the list of things I would trust more than the current government administration... I believe if you simply listen long enough the enemy will tell you what they have in store for you... I have family that was born here in Texas but their parents moved them up north when they were young... Now after some ivy League educations and actually working for the government for decades they have been indoctrinated , they just don't believe things are worse know than three years ago and have every excuse possible when asked why they believe that...
You will never get me to believe something my own eyes , ears and wallet can prove... They are literally part of the 35% of Americans that think everything is great right now... Trust me when I say that's not how I would normally label that 35% , I am not politically correct nor do I care about 95% of what the current government is trying to do... But I know those people in my family are good people well because I have known them my whole life... I also know their brainwashed and must be easily swayed to others opinions and don't want to stand out because to them the nail that stands out gets the hammer... Just my opinion and it cost nobody nothing but my opinion knows the average households are now spending $11,400 a year more than than the last month our previous president was in office...

You may be right but true leaders don't need to be elected. They have the gift of knowing how to get people to follow them. Not sure you keep up on hockey but the goal tender of the NHL Montreal Canadians, Carey Price, make a video directed at our POS prime minister Trudeau saying he wasn't a criminal just because he possessed guns and hunted. This done more for the gun people here in Canada than any elected pro gun person. He is the basic reason that Trudeau's gun grab didn't work and was amended.
