I would be pretty vocal to Remington then if they just stuck the regular Timney in that Alpha rifle.

Yes I believe I need to make a phone call because the trigger that I received is the timmney impact not the elite hunter thank u fellow members for the advertisement stated what will come in the new alpha 1 rifle

The OP’s pic sure looked like a straight trigger so I’m betting it’s adjustable.
The info you post does say though 3# elite Hunter trigger, so that’s confusing.

I'm in the middle of sending emails the timney elite hunter is a green housing trigger the timney I received is the black housing impact trigger we will figure it out the impact is 3#-4# and the elite is 2#-4#

So I have several timney hunter elite triggers and they are an olive green color housing and they adjust 2# -4# the trigger I recieved from Remington in the alpha 1 one is adjustable 3# -4# the trigger housing is black in color one of the selling points for Remingtons clearly states that the alpha 1 and all law enforcement models will come from Remington with a timney elite hunter trigger and all other Remington 700 models will come with the timney impact trigger with pull adjustment of 3# - 4#s I called timney and they varified to the colors of the triggers housing the trigger I recieved from Remington in this rifle (Remington alpha 1) is black colored housing and only adjustable 3# - 4#s

Another thing I have an issue with that I also included in my email to Remington is for a price tag of almost $1800 is a plastic follower really

I would love one in 300 Norma or 338 Edge or 338 RUM etc...

I like the idea of Alpha-1 but I am not sure at this point I trust Remington to deliver what has been promised of the Alpha-1.

At this price, you can put together a rifle at home that is far superior in every way.

Origin, EVO 2, whatever.
Criterion, Shilen prefit.
Pick a chassis.
A good trigger.

Probably all to your door for ~1800

I can’t for the life of me see paying that for, that. Just a thought, no offense intended.

I would send the pics to Timney now and tell them it was your understanding that the elite hunter trigger is supposed to go down to 1 1/2 pounds and it won’t do it.

I call timney today left a message for the tech team to please give me a call concerning the trigger we will see what comes of it I can't believe Remington was so simple with the email that they sent me
