Kinda would.like to have a bore scope to be able to look at used rifle I'm looking at getting or checking my bores after shooting cast or cleaning . Wanted to know if the $55 one is any good and how well do it work when hooking it up to your phone ? Thanks

Works great. Wouldn't go into a gunshop without one. Lots of threads on here about the various units. Just do a search for Teslong. Good info. Just remember, it won't work with IPhones...not enough voltage from the phone.

Check the Daily Bulletin for reviews. I like the model with rigid rod and its own display unit. But the ones that connect to a mobile device also work well.

They're nice, but be careful. After buying a nice old Sako 7mm mag I thought I wanted to see what the inside of one of these touted barrels looked like. It wasn't pretty; looked like it hadn't been fired, or cleaned much in 50 years. I bought some high end ammo anyway; turns out it shoots pretty darn good.

I have the least expensive, flexible one, and it is great. Just remember to spend some time fiddling with the focus. I have seen images that I believe were the result of the operator settling for a lest clear image than they are capable of producing. Go for it. You won't regret it.

Mine works fine with my iPhone. Model is NTG150W

The unit does work but I find myself being confused about which way is up/down on the screen. I wish the cable had a stripe to keep my brain oriented in the direction of the mirror. I know it doesn’t really matter; bad is bad and good is good. For some reason I feel the need to know the external position of the optic.

Yes, the WiFi version works, but the direct plug into a phone or computer like the OP was asking about doesn't.

Out of curiosity, when I first got my plug in flexible one, the cheap one, I downloaded an app onto my android phone and did a test, and it seemed to work fine. Because I have not been to the range in a while, all of the work that I have done has been viewed on my computer's 22" monitor, but I did test the phone. The phone app that ended up working is Smart Endoscope. I think that I tried more than one, and the first one did not work.

Yes, there were a couple apps listed at first, but as the Teslong software changed many of those apps quit working with it. I finally settled on the app "Endoscope Camera" for mine and it works well. I'm sure there are others that also work well. I also have had the privilege, along with a couple others on this forum, to be invited to work with Teslong support on ideas and changes. This resulted in me now having 1 original flexible model (the one I first purchased), 1 upgraded flexible model (tougher flex body), 1 ten inch rigid handgun WiFi model, and 1 rigid rifle model (the last three were given to test and report on). I have not had any contact with them for a couple years now, but everything I have used worked well and lasts.

I purchased a Teslong about a year ago. It is the flexible one with it's own screen. Works real good. No complaints.

I have the cheaper non wifi version and just use on laptop or chrome book by just opening camera no app needed. BTW this is one of the best $55 dollars I spent and one of the worst lol. Beware Have couple factory rifles, after checking bore with teslong, that you would swear couldnt shoot broadside of a barn with but are still plenty accurate.
