stiff power ring

Link

Silver $$ Contributor
I just opened a older new in box Burris signature scope and the power ring is really hard to turn. Is there a fix, besides to send it in ?
ty Don.

I sent one in to Burris, they returned it saying it was within spec. I can hardly move it in cold weather, very stiff at room temperature. Stuck with it, since I will not sell someone else a problem.

I won't be very nice to them if that happens, ;[

Warm it up a little with a hair dryer? Sounds like there is hard lube in it. Both my NXS are stiff. I put a handle on one and it works great.

I took have several Burris scopes that have at least one of the adjustments stiff as all get!
The one with the stiff magnification adjustment is tight enough that I actually worry about twisting it in the rings.

I've been replacing mine with scopes from Crimson Trace.
Mainly their Hardline series.

Although I am still waiting on a Meopta Optika5 to come in.
