How to know which NF comp 15-55 have zero stop

Was wondering how to know which 15-55 NF comps have zero stop and which ones don’t. I don’t have it in hand, so is there something with the turrets s or something that can help me identify from a pic?

Thanks

First year 15-55 known as 2013 model has capped turrets and they are 5 MOA per rotation. Also, there were silver ones produced that year as well and I don't think any of the ZS models were ever done in silver.
The ZS model has 10 MOA per rotation, uncapped (tactical style) turrets.

Cool. Thank you. That’s exactly what I was looking for

Another thing to look at on a Nightforce scope to determined if it has a zero stop is the top of the elevation turret is beveled around the edge. Non zero stop elevation turret is flat across the top.

I believe (not positive) that the 2014 model came with larger numbers on the turrets, or one of them (it came with 2 turret caps) was.

If the 2013 had capped turrets, I am assuming you would see the threads at the bottom of the turret for the cap? Which would be the tall tail sign?

The turrets on the non zero stop model are what I call target type. They are rather plain, straight and small numbers. The ZS models have larger numbering and resemble the turrets of todays tactical style scopes.
Not 100% on your question about the cap threads. but seems logical.

Take a look at the pics in this ad. It is a ZS model.

Not to keep beating this thread to death, but is a non zero stop 15-55 worth buying at a good price? Is the clarity the same? Any real disadvantage?

Having owned both, I don't think the clarity is any different on either model.
I do think the 2013 (nonZS) models are less desirable than the ZS model. In fact, and I think many would agree, if given a choice between a 2013 15-55 and the 12-42 Benchrest model many would go with the 12-42.

The only advantage is one has zero stop and the other doesn’t. It really depends if you need zero stop or not.
If I can find a really good deal on an older model without zero stop, I would buy it and put it on my 22 bench gun.
