Next best Brass

Since Lapua brass is unavailable for 22-250 what is the next best brass? It will be used for bench shooting.

I hope to be out of the 22-250 bussiness when this barrel gives up the ghost. But on the other hand if I went with another, especially right now, I'd give the Sig brass a go.

Unless your chamber was cut for Lapua brass, you are likely better off without it.

If you’re having trouble finding brass loaded ammo is available. If you can’t find the brass by itself buy some loaded ammo, it’s not that much more than the brass now days. Links below to Norma and Sig. I’ve used Norma and before that Remington, the Remington worked fine. Use a search engine like ammoseek and you’ll find a lot of options and a lot of brands if you’re looking for ammo. Why is the brass so hard to find? Good question…..l

I have changed over to Sako brass in everything except 308

Take Tubb 6xc Peterson and run it through your 22250 die.

This issue is not written in stone. However it seems we go through this every couple of years when someone wants to shoot Lapua brass in their 22-250 and they get clickers right away.

Not that there is anything wrong with the chambers you cut, but a "tighter" chamber and Lapua brass is the problem.

Lapua brass uses CIP measurements, our reamers are SAMMI unless ordered otherwise.
