Scope help

Looking to purchase a scope for my bench rifle. 600 yard is the longest I’m shooting right now. $1000 range is my budget.

Scope will be going on a 6ppc

A clean used NF BR 12-42x56. They come up in the classifieds fairly often or a new one for $1475

I will strongly agree on the Sightrons. Just make sure to use light weight rings if you are concerned about making a weight class. My Savage 6BR with the SIII 10-50x56 is over 13.5 lbs. Gun is a modified class rifle if under that weight. When I put the SIII on it, it bumped the weight up to just slightly over 13.5. Going to switch to aluminum rings & rail to get the bulk down

I agree with this as long as you can stand the weight. Those scopes are damn near bullet proof. Good used ones are in the $1000 range.
