Going through my very many barrels. I have a factory Remington barrel in 222. OAL is 18.5" with a muzzle diameter of .558
A mod7?

From Layne Simpson in Rifle Shooter magazine - "So the XP-100 with a 14.5-inch barrel was introduced in 1963, and the Model 600 with an 18.5-inch barrel was introduced in 1964."

Correct on the 18 1/2” barrel for the Remington 600-660 series rifle but, their muzzle diameter are larger. In the .615-.620 diameter on the two I just measured.

Sounds like maybe a 700 carbine barrel, I had one in 6mm at one time but don't remember the exact length.
